Policies and Procedures

INTRODUCTION

The San Luis Obispo County Emergency Medical Services
Agency would like to thank the members of the EMS community
that assisted in the development of this revised Policy and
Protocol manual. This version of the manual reflects the
dedicated work of the EMS Agency Operations Committee, the
Clinical Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors.


This manual contains new Advanced Life Support treatment
protocols, as well as newly reformatted policies. Several
outdated policies have been deleted and new policies will
be added as the appropriate committees complete efforts
currently in progress or as a need is identified.
