PUBLIC SAFETY AED PROGRAMS
EMT AED Service Provider is defined as an AED service provider, agency or
organization with trained
EMTs, which is responsible for, and is approved by the EMS Agency to operate, an AED.
Public Safety AED Service Provider is defined as a public service agency, or
organization which is
responsible for, and is approved by the EMS Agency to operate, an AED. This includes
Fire Agencies, Lifeguards and Law Enforcement.

definition does not apply to individuals who have been prescribed an
AED by a physician for use on a specifically identified individual.

continuing education courses, classes,
activities or experiences and issue earned
continuing education hours to EMS
Personnel for the purposes of maintaining
certification/licensure or re-establishing
lapsed certification or licensure. Only
approved EMS CE can be used. BRN or
nursing CE cannot be used by EMS
personnel. Make sure you check for the
EMS CE Provider # before taking any
course.
